If there is a very famous triathlon event in the world, it's undoubtedly the Hawaiian Ironman race . World Long distance Championship (unofficial) of a demanding circuit of the same name : the IronMan Tour
In the small world of the triathlon off-road (cross- triathlon) , there is also a " mythical " race in Hawaii : the Xterra world's championship on Maui! As his elder , this World Championship (unofficial) is the apotheosis of a global and fiercely americanized circuit.
But
everything moves and these private brands (Ironman and
Xterra) which meet expectations of triathletes for a long time (International Unions and federations only pay attention of Olympism...) , are being pushed by new entrants.
While there is not yet a revolution, but rather evolution. The competition here is good : choice of destination and (relative) decrease price of registrations ...
The new brand "TNatura" is a living proof that "everything" is not happening on the other side of the world. Under
the label ETU (European Triathlon Union), the Italian brand
participates in the development of triathlon versus "off road". Far
from me the idea of advertising, I can not resist the temptation
to motivate you to cross-triathlon in one hand and send you to Sardinian heaven in the other.
Indeed, a European Championship Cross Triathlon will take place in Sardinia in 2014. The big news for the next year is the distance .
If
the European Cross Tri Championships ( modeled on the World's ) have
always take place over relatively short distances (about 1-24-8km), Tanks to ITU., this year, we rise in a rank : 1,5km swim , 30km bike and 10km run.
We hope that these changes are sustainable and allow all triathletes travelers to "get their money!". Landscape-elevation and distance are also cross triathlon selection criteria who love mud! Provided that the organizers remember once and for all .
